1、 Introduction to competition stands

Event stands are similar to sports stands, with spacious outdoor venues for sports competitions and other performances, while providing seating for a large number of spectators. Unlike sports stadiums, event stands are generally temporary steel structure stands. Depending on the budget, it may be considered to install a canopy, with some or all of the grandstand seats covered.

3、 Stand line of sight design

1) Basic data for line of sight calculation

The difference in elevation of the line of sight is shown in the above figure.

C=120mm (in plan view); C=90mm (looking up)

C=60mm (staggered arrangement) Sports are mostly viewed from above

(The best value for c is 120, but raising the stands too much is not economical. When choosing 60mm, the seats need to be arranged in a staggered manner);

D - Depth of Stand Steps

(850~1000mm when using a backrest chair; Use a chair without a backrest to reach a height of 700-850mm;

E - Viewpoint height (1200mm when seated and 1600mm when standing);

The height difference between the feet of the first row audience and the ground of the venue.

(For ball games or track and field venues, b can be "0" or positive, and for swimming venues, it is advisable to be larger than for ball games.). For gymnastics venues, it is advisable to have a value of "0" or a negative value, which means it is appropriate to consider them as level;

X1- The horizontal distance between point F (selected viewpoint) and the eyes of the first row audience;

The vertical distance between the eyes of the first row audience and the horizontal line passing through F is equal to y=b multiplied by 1  2m ;

The relationship between the vertical distance between the eyes of the audience in the desired row and the horizontal line passing through point F is shown in the figure.

4、 Design and selection of seats for sports stands

The seating for event stands is divided into regular audience seats and VIP seats. The number of awnings for the stands varies depending on the budget. The structure is generally detachable.
